Off the Record - B&NES

Off the Record are currently seeking an experienced consultant(s) who can work with them to strengthen the culture of sustainability within the organisation.

Off the Record in Bath was set up in 1994 to promote the emotional health and well-being of young people. It has grown into a well-established and well-respected voluntary organisation serving the needs of young people in the area by providing a range of information, support and education.

They continue to work in an uncertain funding environment which is increasingly competitive. It is expected that from 2011 they will receive significant cuts in funding from the local authority. Sustainability of the organisation is the top priority. Off the Record needs to develop systematic planning and preparation together with an understanding of the full range of funding opportunities available, how they can be tapped into and ensure the organisation has the skills that are needed to access and manage these funds.

Consultant(s) would need to:

1. Review the selling points and sustainability of what Off the Record provide.
2. Develop strong cases for support of their services.
3. Develop a fundraising plan.
4. Provide support and staff development.

The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate experience of:

• Increasing the financial sustainability of voluntary sector organisations.
• Developing management capacity within organisations.
• Fundraising from a diverse range of sources, including community and individual donor fundraising activities.
