Family fun Day workshops- Artists Brief

Dorset County Councils Arts Service is seeking 2 different artists/ arts organisations to deliver 2 different workshops of any artform for young people with a range of learning disabilities at a family fun day on 17th July in Blandford Forum.

The deadline for receiving expressions of interest is: 21st June 2010.

The event runs from 10.30-3.30pm, each workshop will run for 30-45 minutes and repeat a couple of times during the day, alongside a number of other activity workshops taking place at the event.  The workshops need to be accessible for young people who have varied abilities and their carers.
The workshops must be flexible so young people can dip in and out of the activity or spend the full 30- 45 minutes taking part.  Places will be limited for each workshop to ensure each person can take part in a safe environment and have a quality experience.  The venue for the day is a large marquee, which will be shared with a range of other workshop groups.

We are seeking 2 artists/ arts organisations to run separate workshops that have previous experience in delivering workshops for young people who have a range of disabilities. All individuals involved in the workshops will need  recent CRB disclosure and be able to provide an original copy prior to the event taking place.  The fee available is 350 per workshop plus materials and expenses.
