Willis Newson and UWE create exciting new role
Willis Newson, in partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE), is recruiting for the exciting new role of Evaluation and Research Lead. The aim is to develop a specialist evaluation service for arts and health projects and associated training packages. This post has been made possible through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) sponsored by the Technology Strategy Board, Department of Health and the Economic & Social Research Council. KTPs are a UK-wide programme designed to encourage business and knowledge-base collaborations.
For the post-holder, this will be a real opportunity to have an impact on the future of the arts and health sector. As well as gaining experience of applying research and learning in an arts consultancy context, they will receive both academic and business mentoring and supervision. The successful candidate will work within a small, dedicated team at Willis Newson, helping to embed evaluation and evidence-based approaches within the company’s practice as a whole.
He or she will gain technical competencies including the application of evaluation methodologies to the exciting field of arts and health. They will gain experience of project management, including budgeting, and will have the opportunity to interact and develop work programmes with a wide range of health and arts partners.
