Plymouth College of Art takes over ArtsMatrix

Plymouth College of Art has purchased the Skills and Enterprise Development Agency for the Creative Industries in the South West, ArtsMatrix.

In a bid to support and build upon the success of ArtsMatrix, which went into voluntary liquidation in December 2009, Plymouth College of Art was successful in procuring the company and took ownership last week.

This further important strategic development presents a fantastic opportunity to build on the extensive reputation of ArtsMatrix and continue to provide support for the creative industries.

Hannah Revell, Creative Business Services Development Manager, says: 'Work is currently being undertaken to determine the shape of this support and how the successful history of ArtsMatrix will be further developed by the College with collaboration and partnership.'

ArtsMatrix is the Skills and Enterprise Development Agency for the creative industries in the south west. It covers Bristol, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Plymouth, Somerset and Wiltshire.
